Power Electronic Systems (PES)
Power Electronics for Energy, Mobility, and Industry
The English-language master’s program in Power Electronic Systems focuses on the development of modern power electronic systems. Power electronics is a key technology for the energy transition, electromobility, renewable energy, and industrial applications.
You will learn how to efficiently convert, control, and utilize electrical energy. The program focuses on power converters, power semiconductors, electric drives, control engineering, and smart energy systems. The curriculum is complemented by electronics development, simulation, and the application of artificial intelligence.
The program is structured to be practice- and project-oriented. You’ll work on lab exercises, development and simulation tasks, and industry-related research projects. As part of a research internship, you’ll gain additional experience in cutting-edge technological projects.
Graduates work as Power Electronics Engineers, Power Systems Engineers, Control Engineers, Energy Systems Engineers, E-Mobility Engineers, or R&D Engineers, among other roles. Typical sectors include the semiconductor industry, energy technology, e-mobility, renewable energy systems, industrial automation, electronics development, and research and development.
Power Electronic Systems is the specialization for anyone who wants to develop efficient energy conversion and intelligent power electronic systems for the technologies of the future.
More information will be available at the ONLINE Master’s Session on November 23.
