Secure Publication of the Figurative Mark Pursuant to Section 19(3) of the E-GovG
Pursuant to Section 19(2) of the E-GovG, the official signature serves to facilitate the identification of a document’s origin from a public authority. An electronic document printed on paper and bearing an official signature has the evidentiary value of a public document pursuant to Section 20 of the E-GovG.
Documents officially issued electronically by CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences bear the official signature as shown in the following example.

Verification of Officially Signed Electronic Documents
The authenticity of officially signed electronic documents can be verified at www.signaturpruefung.gv.at.
Verification of Documents (Printouts) Pursuant to Section 20 of the E-GovG
Verification of an electronically issued official document (printout) within the meaning of Section 20 of the E-GovG refers to the confirmation that the submitted document actually originates from CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. To this end, the document to be verified must be submitted in its entirety (all pages); a scan or a copy is sufficient. In principle, the document to be verified may be submitted via various methods:
- By email with a scan attached to info(at)cuas.at
- By mail to FH Kärnten – gemeinnützige Gesellschaft mbH, Info Center, Europastraße 6a, 9524 Villach, marked “Signature Verification”
- In person, by prior appointment, at info(at)cuas.at
The entire document will be reviewed, including a check to determine whether its content has been altered.
