The specializations in Health & Business and Technology & Business, as well as supplementary training programs, language courses, and other future-oriented skills, will enrich your exploratory program without limiting you.

By taking courses from different degree programs based entirely on your interests–alongside the students in those programs.

Special Features of the Program
Experience Student Life from the Very Beginning
With StudyXplore, you’ll be part of everyday campus life at CU Carinthia University right from the start. You’ll attend regular classes alongside students, giving you a firsthand look at the campus, academic processes, and student life.
Fully inscribed
StudyXplore is more than just a non-binding trial program: You’ll be officially enrolled at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences—in either Industrial Engineering or Health and Nursing Management, depending on your chosen specialization. This means you’ll begin your orientation year as a regular student.
Your time in university counts
During the StudyXplore orientation year, you’ll earn ECTS credits. Depending on the courses you choose and your subsequent degree program, credits you’ve already earned may be transferred. This way, you can use your orientation phase as an active period of study.
Opportunities for International Experience
StudyXplore’s open structure provides additional opportunities to gain international experience. Through the European University Alliance ACE²-EU, you can explore ways to combine your studies with international exchange programs.
Extras for Your Future
In addition to your regular coursework, StudyXplore offers you the opportunity to earn valuable additional qualifications. Whether it’s training to become a paramedic, a trainee ski instructor, language courses at the Language Center, or programs offered by CU Campus Sports—these “Xtras” are already built into your schedule and help you make the most of your orientation year: for career exploration, entering the job market, and, last but not least, financing your studies.

Due to lengthy visa processes, applications from Africa, the Middle East, and South, East, and Southeast Asia are accepted only during Period I.

Am I eligible for family allowance?
Yes, definitely–if you’ve successfully completed at least 16 ECTS credits worth of courses, you’re eligible for it during your orientation semester; you can find all the details by clicking “View All FAQs.”
Am I eligible for a student grant?
Generally speaking, yes–StudyXplore already covers 17 or 19.5 of the 30 required ECTS credits. You can find out the exact requirements and how to earn the remaining credits by clicking “View All FAQs.”
