Law

The Law Department is the first point of contact for various legal matters at CU Carinthia University. It advises and provides information to the Executive Board, the Rector’s Office, the committees established at CU Carinthia University, the service departments and the faculties on legal matters, and issues legal opinions and recommendations to the decision-making bodies to serve as a basis for their decisions.

It develops, updates and reviews internal guidelines and regulations at CU Carinthia University.

In addition, the Legal Department drafts and reviews contracts to ensure they comply with legal requirements and are in accordance with university guidelines.

As a member of the Institutional Data Protection Commission, it serves as the liaison to theexternal data protection officer at CU Carinthia University.
