From an IBM company visit to a career at KNAPP
Kristóf Dudás, MA, SAP EWM Consultant, Knapp IT Solutions GmbH, Vienna, Graduated in 2024
The international community, practical learning, and company excursions gave me the confidence to take on new challenges–and ultimately helped me find my way into an international career.
For Kristóf Dudás, the Master’s program in International Business Management was about growing professionally while becoming more confident in an international environment. The combination of practical learning, an international student community, and a supportive study environment allowed him to develop his skills without unnecessary pressure and with a strong focus on working smart.
The practical orientation of the program played a particularly important role. Seminars with project work, discussions, and challenging debates encouraged students to apply their knowledge and develop their own approaches to complex business questions. Courses such as Learning, Thinking, and Problem-Solving Strategies, Sustainable Global Management Practices, and the International Consulting Lab were among Kristóf’s highlights.
What made the strongest impression, however, were the company excursions. During the first and second semesters, students had the opportunity to visit companies in Austria and neighboring countries and engage directly with managers and CEOs. One of these visits took Kristóf to KNAPP AG. Meeting the company and gaining insights into its business environment had a lasting impact on him and ultimately helped inspire his decision to pursue a career there.
Today, Kristóf works as an SAP EWM Consultant at Knapp IT Solutions GmbH in Vienna. Looking back, he credits the international environment at CU Hochschule Kärnten, the practical approach of the IBM program, and the commitment of program director Dietmar Sternad with helping him develop the confidence and skills to take on the challenges of his professional life–and to be ready to take on the world.
