What should you bring to the program?
For the English-language bachelor’s program in Intercultural Management, you need English proficiency at the B2 level. As a German-speaking applicant, you must also have intermediate proficiency in a second foreign language. Non-German-speaking applicants do not need to demonstrate proficiency in German.

: You’ll learn the key concepts in these fields and apply your management knowledge to address practical business challenges.
Businesses and Their Environment
: You will analyze the economic, social, and legal environment of businesses and examine their ethical responsibilities and obligations.
Intercultural Leadership and International Communication
: You’ll learn to lead intercultural and interdisciplinary teams. At the same time, you’ll strengthen your ability to communicate effectively in an international business context in English and at least one other foreign language.
What opportunities will you have after you graduate?
Upon completing the bachelor’s program in Intercultural Management, you can pursue a master’s degree in Business & Management. At CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, for example, you can continue your studies with the English-language master’s program in International Business Management (IBM). Alternatively, you can pursue an equivalent master’s program at another university or university of applied sciences.
Here's how the program is organized chronologically
The Bachelor’s program in Intercultural Management is organized as a full-time program spanning six semesters and totaling 180 ECTS credits. Classes are held Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturdays.
A modern academic calendar, featuring weeks set aside for midterm and final exams, helps you focus specifically on individual course content and plan for exam periods more effectively. The program begins each October, and admission is only available for the winter semester.

Frequently asked questions about the bachelor’s program
“Intercultural Management”
Can I study without knowing German?
Yes, the program is taught entirely in English. Non-German-speaking students do not need to know German and can learn German from scratch as part of the language track.
Is a study abroad program part of the degree program?
We are partners in the ACE2 EU program. This enables students to participate in mobility programs in a wide variety of contexts. In addition, a semester abroad with partner organizations around the world is offered as an option during the fourth semester.
What sets the ICM program apart from a traditional business degree?
You combine business knowledge with foreign languages and intercultural communication. This allows you to specifically prepare yourself for international business situations and for collaborating in culturally diverse teams.
