Here's what you'll learn during your studies
In the Digital Business Management bachelor’s program, you’ll combine business expertise with digital technologies. You’ll learn how to effectively apply and further develop data, digital systems, and business models within companies.
Even while you’re still in school, you’ll apply your knowledge in hands-on projects. You’ll work on specific tasks, develop digital solutions, use the latest tools, and learn to implement projects in a structured manner as part of a team. In this way, you’ll build the exact technical, methodological, and social skills required for roles at the intersection of business and information technology.
What career options do you have after graduation?
Successful completion of the bachelor’s program in Digital Business Management qualifies you to pursue a four-semester master’s program in Business & Management at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. You can also pursue a related master’s program at another university of applied sciences or university in Austria or abroad.
Suitable master’s programs at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences include, for example, Digital Transformation Management and Business Development & Management.
Here's how the program is structured
Digital Business Management is offered as a full-time program and as a part-time program.
In the full-time program, classes are held Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturdays. Midterm and final exam weeks allow for focused study periods and enable students to plan their exams in advance.
In the part-time program, classes are tailored to working professionals and scheduled in blocks so that the program is compatible with full-time employment. The set schedule provides an overview of in-person, online, and hybrid days even before the program begins. In addition to class time, students should plan for approximately 86 hours per module for preparation and follow-up work.

Frequently asked questions about the Bachelor’s Degree Program in
“Digital Business Management”
What is the difference between DBM and Business Information Systems?
DBM focuses on the business side of digitalization: business models, e-commerce, digital marketing, and management skills. Business Information Systems has a more technical focus–with an emphasis on systems development and IT architecture.
What specific tools do we use in our studies?
You’ll work with a range of practical tools: MS Power BI, MS Excel (including Power Query/Pivot), MS Visual Studio Code, MS Power Automate, Figma, Trello, OpenProject, SAP, common web content management systems, as well as the MS Azure cloud computing platform and AI-based tools.
How much English is required?
English is an integral part of the program. Selected modules include courses in which you can brush up on your English skills for specific business contexts. In addition, you will write and give presentations in English in several modules. The primary language of instruction is German.
