What are the prerequisites for this program?

Do I need any prior medical knowledge?

No. The fundamentals of medicine are taught step by step during the degree program and integrated with the technical courses.

Do I need to know how to program?

No. Programming skills are not required. You'll learn the necessary basics during your studies and continue to build on your knowledge.

Can I start right away after completing my HTL?

Yes. This degree program is an excellent fit for graduates of technical HTLs. Depending on your prior education, you may also be able to have certain courses credited toward the degree.

What are the program's technical areas of focus?

Among other things, you will focus on medical imaging, signal and data processing, augmented reality, intelligent sensor systems, and digital applications for diagnostics and therapy.

Can I continue my studies after earning my bachelor's degree?

Yes. After completing your bachelor's degree, you'll have a variety of master's programs to choose from—for example, in the field of healthcare IT or related technical and health science disciplines.
