What are the admission requirements for the Bachelor's Program in Speech and Language Therapy?

The Speech and Language Therapy Bachelor's Degree Program combines foundational courses in the human sciences with specialized areas of speech-language therapy and scientific courses. These include, among others, anatomy, physiology, linguistics, audiology, phoniatrics, neurology, and pediatrics.
What role does the SkillsLab play?
The SkillsLab – the only one of its kind in Austria – allows you to gain a deeper understanding of diagnostic and therapeutic methods using state-of-the-art technology. It is also available to you outside of class and is used for empirical research as part of Bachelor’s Theses in Speech and Language Therapy.
When will I complete my professional internships?
The professional internships begin in the second semester of the Speech and Language Therapy Program and continue through the sixth semester. They are an essential part of the Program and take place in various fields related to Speech and Language Therapy.
Who will be the patients I work with in the future?
Speech-language therapists work with people of all ages who have language, speech, voice, or swallowing disorders, as well as hearing impairments.
Where can I work after completing my Speech and Language Therapy Degree?
Graduates of the Bachelor's Program in Speech and Language Therapy work in a variety of settings, including health care, social services, and education, as well as in hospitals, therapy and rehabilitation centers, and as independent practitioners.
