From a Master's Thesis to Airbus

DI Marco Blatnik, BSc, Chief Engineer | Airbus Defence and Space

Even while pursuing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, Marco Blatnik laid the foundation for his international career. With the university’s support, he wrote both his bachelor’s thesis and his master’s thesis in collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space–a decision that enabled him to launch his career immediately.

During his master’s program, he completed a one-year internship at the Airbus site near Ingolstadt. Thanks to the university’s flexible academic structure, support from faculty and fellow students, and innovative teaching methods, he was able to successfully balance his studies with his professional work and complete his master’s degree on schedule.

Today, Marco Blatnik is a Chief Engineer at the Airbus Drone Lab. Together with his team, he develops innovative solutions for military and civilian aerospace projects and oversees challenging development projects at an international high-tech company.
