What requirements must I meet to enroll in the master´s program?

To be admitted, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field. Since the program is taught entirely in English, you must also have the appropriate English language skills. Which bachelor´s degrees are accepted for admission?

In general, the master’s program is intended for graduates of bachelor’s programs in engineering and the natural sciences. Whether your degree meets the admission requirements will be assessed as part of the application process.

How does the application process work?

You can apply online through the CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences application portal. Once your application materials have been reviewed, you will receive information about the next steps in the admissions process.

What documents do I need to submit with my application?

Generally, you'll need your bachelor's degree or a current transcript, as well as other application materials. You can find a current list of requirements on the CU University of Carinthia application portal.

Can I apply with a bachelor´s degree from a foreign university?

Yes. International applications are welcome. We will review each application individually to determine whether your degree meets the admission requirements.

Is it possible to pursue this degree while working?

Yes. The work-friendly study model helps you balance your studies and your career. In-person sessions are supplemented by online instruction, allowing for flexible study arrangements.

In what language are classes taught?

The entire master's program is taught in English. This allows you to study in an international environment while strengthening your academic English skills.

What kind of course content can I expect during my studies?

Among other things, you will focus on electrical power systems, battery systems, power electronics, electrical machines, smart grids, energy automation, and sustainable mobility concepts. Theory, lab exercises, and research are closely intertwined.

Are there lab exercises and hands-on projects?

Can I study abroad for a semester?
