for the Healthcare Management Program

What should you bring with you for your studies?

For the Bachelor’s Program in Healthcare Management, you should have an interest in health, management, and business-related issues. The Program is designed for people who want to take on responsibility and actively shape the health and social services sector. A passion for teamwork, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration is just as important as an openness to current developments in the healthcare sector.

Under certain conditions, it is also possible to enroll without a high school diploma. Certified healthcare and nursing professionals (DGKP) with at least three years of relevant professional experience may be admitted to the program without taking an additional entrance exam.

What you will learn during your studies

Understanding and Shaping Health Care Systems
You will explore the structures of the health and social services sectors and learn how to further develop healthcare facilities from both an organizational and economic perspective. Health management, health economics, public health, and healthcare systems form the foundation for responsible management roles.

Health Promotion and Prevention
You will develop health promotion and prevention measures for various target groups and engage with current issues such as planetary health, climate change, and sustainable healthcare systems. In this way, you will learn to help shape healthcare in a responsible and long-term manner.

Digitalization and Innovation
Digital health, innovation management, and digital forms of care are central components of the program. You will learn to understand digital developments in healthcare, support change processes, and develop innovative solutions for practical application.

Management and Collaboration
Project management, human resources management, quality and risk management, and interprofessional collaboration prepare you for organizational and strategic roles in the healthcare sector. The Program is complemented by courses in communication, academic research, and practice-oriented projects.
