From the Hotel's Grand Reopening to Deputy Hotel Manager

Stefanie Leitner fondly looks back on her time as a student at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. She was particularly impressed by the successful combination of business fundamentals and practice-oriented courses, as well as the close connection to the hospitality industry. “The mix of business administration courses and practical content was perfect for me. I was particularly impressed by the guest lecturers who came directly from the industry.”

In addition to gaining in-depth subject knowledge, Stefanie became familiar with numerous systems and tools used in the hospitality industry while she was still a student. Practical examples and insights into renowned hotels both in Austria and abroad gave her a realistic picture of the industry and prepared her perfectly for her career entry.

Immediately after graduating, she became part of the team opening a new hotel and was able to put her acquired knowledge into practice right away. Among other things, she was involved in the selection and implementation of front- and back-office systems as well as restaurant software; she contributed to pricing and promotional strategies; supported the selection of furnishings; and played a role in building the staff team. These diverse responsibilities laid the foundation for her future career path. Today, Stefanie Leitner works as the reception manager and assistant hotel manager at the Impulshotel FREIGOLD in Freistadt.
