Is multimedia technology a computer science or design degree program?
This degree program combines both fields. You will gain a solid foundation in computer science and programming and apply this knowledge to the design and development of multimedia applications and digital content.
What kind of coursework can I expect during my studies?
The curriculum includes programming, web technologies, computer graphics, 3D modeling, animation, game engines, image processing, audio and video engineering, storytelling, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and virtual production.
What role does programming play in college?

What is Virtual Production?
Virtual production combines real-time 3D graphics and game engines with traditional film technology. This allows digital environments to be integrated directly into film, video, and media productions.
What role does artificial intelligence play in college?
You'll learn how to use AI tools to build knowledge and create multimedia content. You'll also explore the integration of artificial intelligence into digital applications.

How much does it cost to attend college?
Tuition is €363.36 per semester, plus the applicable ÖH fee. For students from non-EU countries, tuition will be €500 per semester starting in the winter semester of 2026.
