Advancing protected areas with international expertise

Marta Korchemlyuk, Ph.D., participant in the Master’s program in Management of Conservation Areas

I want to use the knowledge I have gained to play an active role in shaping environmental policy and protected area management in my home country.

During a virtual information session and conversations with alumni, Marta Korchemlyuk gained comprehensive insight into the Master’s program in Management of Conservation Areas. She was particularly impressed by its interdisciplinary approach, international focus, and the opportunity to connect with experts from different countries.

She expects the program not only to deepen her expertise in protected area management, but also to provide fresh perspectives on research, international collaboration, and leadership. Her goal is to further expand her knowledge of environmental management and governance, and to apply what she learns to the future development of environmental policy and protected areas in Ukraine—especially Carpathian National Park.
