Sex Education:
Body Awareness & Sexual Health Education - MC

With the Micro Credential “Sex Education: Body Awareness and Sexual Health Education,” you’ll gain in-depth knowledge for providing professional, target-group-appropriate sex education. This short academic program is designed for professionals in social work, the social sciences, healthcare and education who wish to provide expert guidance to people at various stages of life.

You will explore the foundational knowledge related to sexuality and the body and become familiar with current materials, media and methods used in body and sex education. You will apply these in practical settings and examine how sexuality-related topics can be communicated in a clear and professional manner.

A key focus is on the biological foundations of sexuality and gender, as well as on intergenerational aspects of sex education. In addition, you will address topics such as unintended pregnancy, reproductive medicine and the inability to conceive. The importance of sex education in the context of social media will also be discussed.

You’ll learn to adapt sex education programs to different target groups. These include children, adolescents and adults, as well as people with disabilities, refugee backgrounds, or migration histories. At the same time, you’ll reflect on your own experiences and attitudes toward sex education and strengthen your communication skills for professional conversations.

Upon completion, you will be able to answer questions related to sexuality in an age-appropriate and professionally sound manner, as well as consciously apply appropriate methods of health and sex education.

Break taboos with knowledge and clear language.

In the MC Sex Education you learn how to answer questions about sexuality in an age-appropriate and competent manner.
