From Lebanon to Carinthia–for an international master’s program
Amira Belly, graduate of the master’s program in Communication Engineering
For Amira Belly from Lebanon, it quickly became clear that she wanted to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Engineering. The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CU Hochschule Kärnten) impressed her above all with its combination of solid theory and hands-on training. In addition to her coursework, she was able to participate in exciting projects and events even while she was still a student–including work on a timing system for classic car races and volunteering as an IT support staff member at the 2017 Special Olympics Austria.
In addition to her studies, she particularly appreciated the international environment and the high quality of life in Klagenfurt. The personalized support from faculty members, the numerous opportunities to get actively involved, and the diverse range of recreational activities made her time as a student an all-around positive experience.
Her advice to future students: Be open-minded, reach out to others, and take advantage of the many opportunities your studies offer. Those who show initiative and try new things will benefit both academically and personally.
