From the Field Straight to a Successful Career

Alexander Dürager, M.Sc., Construction Manager | STRABAG SE

Even while still a student, Alexander Dürager gained valuable hands-on experience during a required internship at STRABAG, laying the foundation for his future career. After completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, he transitioned directly into civil engineering and has since implemented numerous infrastructure projects in Austria and Germany. For his master’s thesis on the recyclability of composite thermal insulation systems, he was awarded the prestigious Civil Engineering Prize by the Austrian Association of Civil Engineers.

“The program was technically challenging, but at the same time, the faculty always provided me with personal support. The practical focus and the close-knit atmosphere at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences were particularly valuable to me.”
