Study & Work: Start Your Career Successfully with Practical Experience

More than 80 companies from business, industry, healthcare, and the public sector are once again offering students at CU – Carinthia University of Applied Sciences | Hochschule Kärnten the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience while still in school during the 2026–27 winter semester.

With the start of the new application round, the Study & Work program is once again expanding to include several new partners, thereby creating additional career opportunities for students in a wide variety of fields.

Study & Work perfectly combines academic study with professional work: part-time students can pursue a subject-related part-time job, while full-time students gain their first practical experience through a part-time position. The program thus bridges the gap between higher education and the working world–and brings students into contact with potential employers at an early stage.

Long-standing partner companies include Infineon Technologies Austria, the City of Villach, Kärnten Werbung, Stadtwerke Klagenfurt, and Diakonie de La Tour. Starting in the winter semester, Nero Ecom GmbH, Fercam, Wie daham Scheiflinger Pflegeheim- und Dienstleistungs GmbH, as well as cms, Caritas, and BKS Bank will expand the network, opening up additional opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in practice and gain their first professional experience.

Applications for the Study & Work program will be open to all students starting October 1, 2026. Students will contact the respective companies directly to discuss potential employment opportunities.

Other interested companies are also invited to contact the Business & Career Management department at CU University of Carinthia to become part of the Study & Work network: karriere(at)cuas.at
