Success Requires a Good Plan

From the very beginning, it was clear to Patrick Hartl that he wanted to combine his master’s program with his professional career. The Work & Study model at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences provided him with the ideal conditions for this and made it possible to successfully balance his career and his studies.

He found the program’s predictability in terms of scheduling and the opportunity to apply what he learned directly in his daily work particularly helpful. At the same time, he further developed key skills such as working independently, organizational skills, and time management. Study groups, in which students prepared for exams together and supported one another, also played a key role in his academic success.

His conclusion: With good organization, motivation, and interaction with fellow students, it is possible to successfully combine a master’s program with a full-time job.
