The following bachelor’s degree programs are considered relevant: Sustainable Construction Management, Sustainable Real Estate Management, Real Estate Economics, Facility Management & Real Estate Economics, Business Administration, Economics—Business Management track, Business Law, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Green Building. If you have completed a different bachelor’s degree program, your eligibility based on academic requirements will be assessed on a case-by-case basis as part of the admissions process.
Is the Sustainable Real Estate Management program at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences the same program as the one offered by Carinthia University of Applied Sciences?
Yes. The Sustainable Real Estate Management program was launched in 2022 at FH Carinthia and is now offered under the name CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. The renaming of the university has not changed the program itself: Sustainable Real Estate Management remains the same 120-ECTS master’s program lasting four semesters and leading to an academic master’s degree.

What are block weeks?
The courses take place over a total of nine intensive block weeks: five of them in Carinthia, three in Vienna, and one as part of a field trip to Frankfurt am Main. A block week begins on Monday at 8:00 a.m. and ends each day from Monday through Friday at 5:40 p.m. An 80-minute lunch break provides ample time to relax and allows you to start the afternoon classes with renewed energy. On Saturday, the block week ends at 12:20 p.m. During the in-person sessions, you’ll engage intensively with the course material. Together with instructors and other students, you’ll work on practical projects, assignments, and problem-solving tasks, allowing you to directly apply and deepen your knowledge.
Where do the intensive weeks take place?
The nine block weeks are spread across three locations: five weeks take place in Carinthia, three weeks in Vienna, and one week as part of a field trip to Frankfurt am Main. This allows you to gain insight into the various perspectives and operating conditions of the real estate industry.
Why are mobility and infrastructure important in college?
Sustainable real estate projects are not planned in isolation. That’s why, as part of your studies, you’ll also explore infrastructure development and mobility concepts. This will help you learn to view real estate projects in the context of their physical environment and long-term use.
What role does digitalization play in university?
Digital technologies are an important part of the curriculum. Among other things, you’ll work with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and learn how digital tools support the planning, development, and management of real estate.
Are the courses taught in German or English?
All courses are taught in German. In project-oriented courses, students receive additional support through an accompanying course in English. There, they learn to confidently present and discuss their projects and subject-matter content in English. This allows students to develop not only their presentation skills but also their English proficiency in a targeted manner—and ensures they are well-prepared to think beyond linguistic and disciplinary boundaries. After all, who knows where their future career path will lead?
Is "Sustainable Real Estate Management" a certificate program or a full-fledged master's degree program?
Sustainable Real Estate Management is a regular master’s degree program at CU Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, not a course or certificate program. This part-time program comprises 120 ECTS credits and four semesters and leads to the academic degree of Master of Science in Engineering (MSc).
