Systems Engineering:
Green Mechatronics - BSc

In the bachelor’s program in Systems Engineering (SE) – Green Mechatronics, you’ll combine mechanics, electronics, and software. You’ll learn how these disciplines interact within mechatronic systems.

Course content includes embedded systems, control engineering, dynamics, and modeling and simulation. You’ll analyze dynamic processes, apply theoretical models to real-world systems, and systematically refine technical processes.

In the Embedded Systems course, you’ll focus on coordinating hardware and software. You’ll also learn to program industrial control systems, identify faults in technical equipment, and systematically optimize processes using data analysis. This will provide you with a broad foundation in engineering for a variety of technical challenges.

Are your ideas flowing, and do you have your circuit diagrams ready?

Then it’s time to start your studies–Green Mechatronics is waiting for you!

Special features of the program

Sustainability Throughout the Entire Life Cycle

You will examine technical concepts throughout their entire life cycle. Through life cycle assessment, eco-design, and the circular economy, you will learn to plan, evaluate, and implement sustainable solutions.

Two Areas of Study—Your Technical Focus

In the Bachelor's program in Systems Engineering, you can choose between the two tracks: Green Electronics and Green Mechatronics. You'll combine creative ideas with solid technical knowledge and tailor your studies to your specific interests.

Work Experience in the 6th Semester

In the sixth semester, you’ll complete a mandatory professional internship. During this internship, you’ll apply the knowledge you’ve acquired in a professional setting, gain practical experience, and prepare specifically for your future career. Through partnerships with companies, you’ll also establish early contacts with the industry and build a professional network.

Gain international experience

A semester abroad at one of over 100 partner universities will open up new academic and personal horizons for you. You’ll expand your intercultural skills and apply your knowledge in an international academic setting.
